Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and staff development at our Union, South Carolina location. You will assist with merchandising, inventory control, and executing corporate directives while ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and associates.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, teamwork, and the ability to train and motivate Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Retail management experience in grocery, retail, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organized stockroom.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer questions or concerns.
• Process directives and merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling as needed.
