Job summary

Dollar Tree in Schererville, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll help with daily tasks, merchandise flow, and opening/closing procedures, while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

You will train and supervise Store Associates, enforce policies, and maintain inventory accuracy, aiming for high standards and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain store areas and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention
