Job summary

Dollar Tree in Greenville, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with daily operations, customer service and team development. You will participate in opening/closing procedures and help supervise store associates to maintain a safe, efficient shopping environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills, with prior store management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support processing corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas clean and stocked to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure a clean, orderly store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and stock areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
