Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop team members in Raleigh, North Carolina.

You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, payroll, scheduling, and store safety while helping the Store Manager supervise and mentor staff to maintain a high-energy, guest-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean and organized store areas and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
