Job summary

Dollar Tree in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, merchandising, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior store management experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all areas are neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
