Job summary

Family Dollar in Easton, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates, while ensuring a safe and friendly environment for customers and staff.

The role emphasizes leadership in a fast-paced retail setting, adherence to company policies, and maintaining well-stocked, presentable sales floors and stockrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent movement and standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and supervise Store Associates when needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Support training and development of Store Associates.
