Job summary

Family Dollar in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help manage day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, clean, welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include merchandise flow, opening/closing procedures, compliance with corporate directives, loss prevention, and maintaining promotional displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise flow from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and maintain compliance with corporate procedures.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and promotional displays and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention duties.
• Maintain clean, organized store and stockroom, safeguarding assets.
