Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Center Line, MI to support store operations and customer service while developing the team. You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, and daily tasks to ensure a clean, organized store that meets company standards.

Responsibilities include leading store associates, handling opening/closing, and upholding safety and loss-prevention practices in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent movement and physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful customer/employee environment.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash, and maintain neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
