Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Beloit, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Full Time location.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and displayed effectively. You’ll also participate in opening/closing procedures and supervise store associates to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation,
• Other duties as assigned.
