Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the team. This role oversees merchandising organization, assists with scheduling and payroll, and ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lead a team in a high-energy environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, requests, and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor and stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
