Job summary

Walmart in Muskegon, MI is seeking a dynamic leader to guide store teams, coach associates, and deliver exceptional customer service while executing business initiatives that support sales and profitability.

You will oversee budgeting, merchandising, inventory flow, shrink mitigation, and staff development, while upholding Walmart values and the Open Door policy to create a welcoming and productive workplace.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback.
• Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting ethics and integrity and the Open Door Policy.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, mentoring, and setting clear expectations.
