Job summary

Dollar Tree in Houston is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. This role will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and payroll/scheduling tasks while upholding company policies and loss prevention measures.

You will help supervise and train store associates, maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and the team, and ensure fixtures and promotions are current and effective.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive manner.
• Organize merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and maintain store standards.
• Maintain fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect company assets including cash and safety compliance.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
