Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Any retail experience
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making product suggestions
  • Maintain knowledge of products and inform customers about specials
  • Check product quality and freshness, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate actions
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; provide customers with ordered products
  • Report discrepancies, safety issues, and accidents to management
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs
  • Report safety risks, illegal activities, and emergencies
