Minimum Requirements

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend grocery items to customers to meet their needs and inform them of specials.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with ordered products.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring proper temperatures and maintaining logs.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
