STORE/NIGHT CLERK (Finance)

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Any retail experience
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting trust and respect among associates
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making suggestions about products
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of products sold within the department
  • Recommending grocery items to customers and informing them of specials
  • Checking product quality and ensuring freshness
  • Labeling, stocking, and inventory management
  • Reporting discrepancies and safety issues
  • Adhering to safety and food safety regulations
  • Performing preventive maintenance and reporting unsafe conditions
  • Handling customer or employee accidents and reporting safety risks or illegal activity
  • Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
