Join to apply for the STORE MGT/ASSOCIATE RESOURCE MGR role at Kroger

Perform all in-store Human Resources functions related to talent development, total rewards administration, associate engagement, associate relations, and workforce planning. Provide overall store leadership on a limited, as-needed basis. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities
  1. Actively and passively recruit quality candidates to fill store level positions
  2. Ensure adequate staffing to meet current and projected business needs
  3. Effectively use available technologies to support performance management initiatives
  4. Process product recalls
  5. Conduct global price comparisons per division guidelines
  6. Support staff training and development through required programs
  7. Oversee qualification processes for classified positions
  8. Ensure completion of performance reviews for department heads and new hires
  9. Educate associates about total rewards programs
  10. Coordinate engagement activities across all departments
  11. Support creation and implementation of Associate Insight action plans
  12. Advise management of significant events affecting store associates
  13. Champion in-store communications such as newsletters, updates, and huddles
  14. Assist in store special events including fundraisers
  15. Support the store Cultural Council and related activities
  16. Implement and support rewards and recognition programs
  17. Conduct job and exit interviews
  18. Oversee onboarding activities and conduct orientation for new hires
  19. Understand and comply with collective bargaining agreements
  20. Manage human resource operational metrics
  21. Ensure compliance with uniform policies and confidentiality standards
  22. Maintain all employee records per policies and regulations
  23. Perform other duties as assigned
  24. Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • Retail Supervisory Experience
  • Experience in projecting hiring needs strategically
  • Strong Human Resources Knowledge
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in Human Resources activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle tasks outside of expertise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to achieve objectives through others
  • Aptitude for customer service
  • Ability to travel independently as required
