Job summary

The Michaels Companies store in Alameda, CA is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational excellence. You will oversee truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and pricing integrity to maintain a customer-ready store environment.

Responsibilities include leading SOP adherence, floor leadership, in-stock optimization, and accurate promotions. You will train and coach teammates, manage stock movements, and ensure efficient backroom and sales floor operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to manage truck processing, inventory routines, and planogram sets.
• Ability to train and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, including RTVs and ASN receiving.
• Oversee ship-from-store fulfillment and price changes.
• Manage damages procedures and shrink reduction.
