Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned:

1. Follow established department procedures for receiving and unloading incoming shipments, pricing products, and stocking cases to ensure quality, protection, accuracy, and proper rotation of products in cases and coolers.
2. Maintain a safe and clean working environment to comply with safety and sanitation requirements set by the company and mandated by state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal weights, measures, and labeling laws.
4. Greet customers and take their orders.
5. Cut, tray, and package all required meat and seafood products for the day.
6. Follow proper safety practices and use all cutting accessories carefully; wear mesh gloves when using a knife.
7. Participate in pre-inventory preparations, including back stock organization and matching tags to products.
8. Assist in other departments as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. The requirements include:

• A high school diploma or GED, plus two years' experience in a retail environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
