Job Description

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for cutting all meat according to trim specifications and guidelines. Ensures the quality and freshness of meat products for display in the meat case to promote sales. Responsible for providing excellent customer service and courtesy continuously. Must adhere to all corporate and state sanitation and safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
  • Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them for their requests.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
  • Cut and prepare meat using knives, saws, cubers, and grinders.
  • Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, and labeling of meat products.
  • Adhere to all corporate meat department procedures and standards (e.g., case layout and trim specifications).
  • Follow proper sanitation and temperature guidelines, including corporate and state inspection standards.
  • Receive all meat products delivered to the store (e.g., DSD and warehouse deliveries).
  • Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management and follow all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass a cutting test.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least 6-12 months of related experience.
