Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop a high‑performing team at our Houston store on 10964 Westheimer Road.

You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, training, loss prevention, and ensuring the store meets company standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising store operations and staff in a retail environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets and store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and help train Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
