Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the duties of a Store Manager while developing leadership and operational skills. You will focus on delivering Legendary Customer Service, building a strong team, and driving sales at a Tractor Supply location.

As you progress, you will gain experience in inventory management, budgeting, and store operations while supporting district leadership and embracing a culture of inclusion and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining team members.
• Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Create a welcoming store environment reflecting diversity and inclusion.
• Plan daily activities for team members to ensure efficient store operations.
• Lead teams to deliver a Legendary customer shopping experience that stands out.
• Communicate policies and processes to team; coordinate with District/Regional Managers to resolve issues.
• Train on paperwork, inventory management, sales forecasting, payroll analysis, and budgeting.
• Coordinate merchandise resets and inventory controls; manage price changes and stock levels.
• Participate in community involvement and support store events.
• Support District and Store Managers on operational needs and district issues.
