Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the Store Manager role and develop leadership skills while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will help recruit, schedule, and mentor staff, drive sales, manage inventory, and uphold store standards.

The program emphasizes team development, operational excellence, and community involvement, with a focus on LEADership and growth into a Store Manager position.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Education: High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural-Science or Business related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, discipline, and retain team members.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Add Value.
• Schedule, organize, and plan daily activities for team members to ensure efficient store operations.
• Lead team members to ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience.
• Communicate company processes, policies, and directives to team members; coordinate with District/Region to solve problems.
• Learn to manage budgeting, payroll analysis, and sales forecasting.
