Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the duties of the Store Manager role and develop leadership and operational skills. You will focus on delivering Legendary Customer Service, building teams, driving sales, and managing inventory and expenses.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, supervision, planograms, and cross-functional collaboration with store leadership. The role starts with on-site duties and a path to store leadership positions at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or farming knowledge preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining team members.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and add value.
• Create a welcoming store environment reflecting diversity and inclusion across teams and customers.
• Plan daily activities and schedules to ensure efficient store operations.
• Lead and communicate processes to teams and coordinate with district/ regional managers to resolve issues.
• Learn budgeting, sales forecasting, and store auditing processes.
• Manage inventory and merchandising resets per company standards.
• Coordinate special sales events and support district store leadership as needed.
• Support team member development and resolve conflicts to maintain a productive work environment.
