Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Scottsbluff, NE to support the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, merchandising, and operations. You will provide leadership in customer service and follow company procedures to ensure store performance.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, bank deposits, cash controls, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment while developing internal talent for future Store Manager roles.

Formación

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of safety, deposits, keys, and cash control procedures.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and counseling including legal compliance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; interpersonal abilities.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail; problem solving in varied situations.
• Some locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing per established practice.
• Assist in inventory management and related paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Follow store policies and procedures as outlined in handbooks and SOPs.
• Participate in opening/closing activities and bank deposits.
• Ensure cashier accountability and strict cash control.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
