Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and report generation.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits, and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices (legal compliance).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
• Problem solving in varied situations; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising, staging, stocking, and pricing.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, and store paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Model company procedures and policies.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of funds and cash controls.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork according to guidelines and deadlines.
