Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Manager Trainee to join our team in Belgrade, Montana. You will train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn the overall operation of the store, including supervisory decisions aligned with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.

You will handle training, expenses, promotions, customer service, and day-to-day store management tasks. The role includes back-office duties, inventory control, and ensuring secure operations during the store

Responsibilities

• Train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn store operations and supervisory decisions.
• Understand controllable expenses, sales, margins, shortages, and promotions.
• Set a positive example for coworkers in customer service and convenience store operations.
• Serve as acting store manager during the manager's absence when the co-manager is unavailable.
• Complete daily bookwork recording employee data, inventory, and sales.
• Order, inventory, price, stock, display, and rotate merchandise; perform basic receiving and invoicing.
• Maintain store maintenance, bank deposits, and light restroom cleaning.
• Provide new employee hiring, training, and orientation; discipline or terminate problem staff.
• Maintain security of cash, fuel, inventories, and store assets.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and perform other duties as assigned.
