Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Manager Trainee to join our team in Missoula, MT. You will train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn the overall operation of the store and gain experience in supervisory decision making that aligns with Town Pump standards.

Responsibilities include learning to manage controllable expenses, sales, margins, inventory, and customer service; perform daily bookwork; order supplies; maintain store assets; and assist with hiring,

Responsibilities

• Train with the store manager/co-manager to learn the store's overall operation.
• Understand controllable expenses, sales increases, margins, shortages, and promotions.
• Set an exemplary example in professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and store operations.
• Act as store manager during the manager's absence when the co-manager is unavailable.
• Complete daily bookwork to record employee info, inventory, and sales.
• Order and inventory merchandise, invoice, enter daily sales, and merchandise including receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and rotating stock.
• Complete store maintenance, basic repairs, deposits, and light cleaning of the store and restrooms.
• Provide hiring, training, and orientation for new employees; discipline when needed.
• Maintain security of assets, cash, fuel, inventory, and labor hours.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and complete other duties as assigned.
