Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn duties of the Store Manager role, develop team leadership, and drive sales while controlling inventory and expenses. The role focuses on delivering Legendary Customer Service, building a strong team, and ensuring overall store performance.

You will participate in training across operations, merchandising, scheduling, and people development to prepare for advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience: Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Education: High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural-Science or Business related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining efficient team members.
• Delivering on our promise of Legendary Customer Service.
• Schedule, organize, and plan daily activities for team members.
• Lead team members to ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
• Learn sales and profit management; accountable for top and bottom line.
• Manage daily merchandise flow and inventory controls.
• Train on daily, weekly, and monthly processing of paperwork.
