Qualifications

Dal-Tile is seeking an exceptional Stone Center Manager to join our team. The Stone Center Manager will increase product sales within the assigned store coverage area, develop and retain effective customer relationships, and manage store operations and personnel.

Primary Objective

Increase product sales within assigned store coverage areas to achieve company objectives. Develop and maintain effective customer relationships to exceed sales goals, maximize market penetration, and margin potential. Manage store operations and staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Primary Functions and Scope
  • Achieve revenue, budget, and other business objectives annually.
  • Develop business relationships with key customers in the store coverage area.
  • Define and communicate goals and objectives for staff performance measurement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff to meet store objectives.
  • Work closely with customers to maximize market penetration and margins.
  • Implement strategic plans aligned with corporate goals.
  • Review market analyses to understand customer needs, pricing, and discounts.
  • Advise customers on products, pricing, and sales strategies; build customer relations.
  • Negotiate and close deals with key customers.
  • Control expenditures to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Analyze sales reports to monitor sales volume, profit, and margins.
  • Manage credit transactions and account collections prudently.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in planning processes.
  • Ensure safety program compliance and train staff accordingly.
  • Train and develop staff in customer service, order management, purchasing, warehouse duties, and system processes.
  • Cross-train staff on all operational areas; support recruitment, hiring, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, including hiring, firing, and performance management.
  • Train staff in safe operation of trucks, cranes, and loading procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge
  • HS diploma and 5+ years relevant stone sales experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 3+ years relevant sales/management experience in the stone industry.
Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership, teamwork, and training skills.
  • Ability to multitask and follow through.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Certification to operate powered industrial trucks.
