Job summary

Hollywood Feed in Memphis, TN seeks a Manager In Training to oversee a busy retail store, lead a team, and drive guest satisfaction in line with our policy: Do what is right by the customer.

The role reports to Store and Regional Manager, requires minimum 45 hours weekly, and includes competitive pay from $22 to $45 per hour, plus tips, employee discounts, and free pet food and supplements for team members.

Qualifications

• Proven sales and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of store products or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to operate or learn the point-of-sale system.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years' driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview, selectively hire, and train employees for the retail location.
• Organize and oversee the schedules and work of employees.
• Oversee employees, facilitate effective communication with customers, assist as needed.
• Manage and direct the daily tasks and responsibilities of team members.
• Conduct or assist with timely and constructive performance evaluations.
• Administer disciplinary actions and terminations, in alignment with company policies.
• Responsible for closing the store 3 nights per week with one Saturday off per month.
• Required to attend Store Manager Meetings in person.
• Maintain responsibilities for store operations and customer engagement.
• Coordinate recruiting, training, and development of staff.
• Plan and monitor budgets and cost controls.
• Ensure daily sales reports and cash deposits are timely and accurate.
