Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. is hiring a Retail Store Manager to oversee all operations of our New Castle, PA store. This leadership role drives sales, manages staff, and ensures excellent customer service in a community-focused environment.

You will hire and train employees, schedule, monitor inventory and loss prevention, and represent Goodwill in the community. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. is hiring a Retail Store Manager to oversee all operations of ourNew Castle, PA, retail store. This is a leadership role responsible for driving sales, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting Goodwill’s mission of creating employment opportunities in our community.

What You’ll Do

As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the store, including:

Managing all daily retail operations (sales floor, backroom, donations, merchandising)

Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising store employees

Driving sales, production, and donation goals

Ensuring excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience

Maintaining store appearance, merchandising standards, and cleanliness

Monitoring inventory, pricing, and loss prevention

Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, cash handling, and company policies

Coaching and addressing employee performance and attendance

Preparing reports and tracking store performance metrics

Serving as a positive representative of Goodwill in the community

Performing other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework preferred)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience motivating teams and meeting operational goals

Basic computer skills and point-of-sale experience

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move merchandise throughout the shift
