Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a capable Store Manager to lead daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will recruit, train and supervise staff, manage inventories, ensure accurate cash handling and uphold safety standards to deliver strong customer service.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, opening/closing the store, merchandising, and ensuring policies are followed while driving sales and controlling expenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience managing retail staff and scheduling.
• Familiarity with cash handling and loss prevention practices.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.
• Basic math and inventory control skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to maintain staffing levels.
• Open/close the store and manage daily operations.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking and merchandising.
• Monitor sales, inventory and shrink; adjust plans accordingly.
• Ensure customer service standards and safe, clean store conditions.
