KnitWell Group is seeking a Store Manager for Chico's at Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA. You will lead a retail team, elevate the customer experience, and drive store performance in a hospitality-driven environment.

You’ll hire, coach and develop staff, manage payroll and scheduling, and analyze reports to hit sales targets while upholding brand standards and community connections.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• 5+ years of retail management experience, with 2+ years in a Store Manager role
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays
• Ownership mindset and leading by example
• Strong accountability, initiative, and communication skills
• Collaborative leadership that develops talent and drives results

Responsibilities

• Define a clear vision and strategy to prioritize a customer-centered culture and drive results.
• Hire, develop and coach an effective retail team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership of the store’s financial performance; manage payroll and schedules; achieve sales goals.
• Lead the team by communicating expectations, providing guidance, giving feedback, and empowering the team.
• Use store reporting to create action plans to improve metrics and run the business effectively.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment reflecting brand standards.
• Share brand priorities and messages with store teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store events and philanthropy.
