Job summary

KnitWell Group, operating Chico's stores, seeks a Sales Lead in Modesto, CA. You will supervise the team, model service excellence, and support leadership to uphold brand standards while delivering memorable, personalized shopping experiences that reflect our hospitality culture.

You will coach associates, manage floor coverage, and handle open/close, scheduling, and inventory tasks, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment across our brands.

Qualifications

• 2 years retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong customer and peer relationship skills.
• Team player with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, operate the register, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leadership with general store operations including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities and messages with store teams.
• Lead on the sales floor with product knowledge and omni‑channel approaches.
• Provide coaching to keep the team on track with performance goals.
• Execute operations activities: cash handling, scheduling, inventory, replenishment.
• Stay knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Support associate development and scheduling when needed.
• Share ideas with store leadership and contribute to a positive work environment.
