Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and accuracy in percentages and figures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiarity with recruiting, interviewing and termination practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts evaluations, and counsels employees as needed.
• Decides on pay rate and advancement opportunities for staff.
• Communicates performance and safety expectations; leads meetings and events.
• Manages opening/closing, store maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Analyzes sales, profitability, and inventory trends; controls expenses and shrink.
• Oversees ordering and stock levels to meet in-stock targets; manages BSR and cycle counts.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to standards with proper pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory, cash control, and security procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and maintains a clean store.
