Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee staffing, training and store operations. You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and customer service leadership. The role requires ensuring proper staffing, executing schedules, and maintaining store standards daily.

You will conduct performance evaluations, coach staff, and enforce safety and cash-control procedures while driving sales and profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and basic accounting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to policies and laws.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counseling as needed.
• Manage store staffing, ordering, receiving, stocking and merchandising.
• Open and close the store on a regular schedule and ensure security.
• Monitor sales, expenses and inventory to meet in-stock targets.
• Lead customer service initiatives and enforce company policies.
