Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and manuals.
• Strong mathematical ability for calculations and reporting.
• Knowledge of cash handling and store security practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees and ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training and conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for counseling or termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Ensures store opens and closes as required; maintains daily operations.
• Evaluates sales, profitability, and inventory trends to control costs and shrink.
• Oversees ordering to meet in-stock targets; reviews weekly plans and cycle counts.
• Maintains presentation, pricing, and signage for merchandise.
• Maintains accurate inventory and cash controls; adheres to security procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
• Completes paperwork and documentation on deadlines.
