Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Able to recruit, hire, train, coach and terminate in compliance with law and company policy.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling, inventory and loss prevention practices.

Aufgaben

• Recruits, selects and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is properly staffed and effectively opened and closed each day; opens the store at least two times per week and closes at least two times per week.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly; follows up on BSR/cycle counts.
• Manages staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing and signage adhere to standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory through controls over damages, markdowns, scans and paperwork.
• Ensures cash registers are accurate and cash controls are followed.
