Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety, and policy expectations; lead meetings and events.
• Open and close the store daily; personally open at least two times per week and close at least two times per week.
• Monitor sales, profitability, and inventory trends; manage expenses and shrink.
• Ensure stocking targets and merchandising standards; follow up on cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate cash control and security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure SOP and labor law compliance; complete paperwork on deadlines.
