Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will recruit and develop a high-performing team, manage staffing and labor costs, and partner with sales leadership to grow the business.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of retail management or outside sales experience, strong leadership and financial acumen, and the ability to lift 80 pounds when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail store experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail management or outside sales experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make business decisions.
• Paint, coatings, or related product knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (minimum 45 hours per week).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations to achieve sales, profitability, customer service, and operational goals.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop store team members to build a high-performing team and support career growth.
• Schedule employees, manage labor costs, and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Coach associates on selling techniques, product knowledge, and upselling strategies to drive premium product adoption.
• Partner with Sales Representatives and leadership to grow business through customer outreach, sales calls, and prospect development.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through strong service standards, customer engagement, and issue resolution.
• Manage inventory levels, product availability, ordering, and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain merchandising standards, product presentation, and store organization.
• Oversee cash handling, POS processes, and daily financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Analyze sales performance, financial results, and store scorecards to make informed business decisions.
• Develop and execute local sales and marketing initiatives aligned with company strategies.
• Collaborate with regional and operational leaders to achieve business objectives.
