Job summary

SNIPES USA in Troy, MI is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for an entry-level management path. The MIT will learn to fully manage the store’s staff and operations in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Retail experience preferred (2+ years).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required.
• Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 15–30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive sales and profitability while delivering high customer service.
• Assist with communicating goals to maximize team contributions to the sales plan.
• Monitor performance in sales, hourly production, UPTs, charge accounts, and loss prevention.
• Provide leadership to staff and ensure floor set execution and promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation per Visual Merchandising standards.
• Identify customer merchandise needs and ensure assortment meets demand.
• Coordinate markdowns and transfers in a timely manner.
• Ensure store cleanliness on sales floor and stockroom.
