Job summary

SNIPES in LaGrange, GA seeks a Manager in Training (MIT) for a full-time hourly position. This entry-level management role will oversee staff and store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, driving sales and service excellence.

The MIT role requires a passion for sneakers and streetwear, strong communication, and the ability to lead a team while solving problems and meeting store goals. Training pathway and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required.
• Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Strong drive to achieve results.
• Takes initiative and has problem solving skills.
• Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
• Lifting between 15-30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals. Prioritize high-level customer service.
• Assist Store Manager/Assistant Manager with communicating store goals and directives to maximize team contribution.
• Support Store Manager in evaluating performance: sales, hourly production, UPTs, and loss prevention.
• Provide leadership to staff and assist Store Manager as needed.
• Ensure timely execution of floor sets and promotions.
• Assist in directing merchandise presentation per Visual Merchandising standards.
• Recognize customer needs and adjust assortment to meet demand.
• Coordinate markdowns and transfers with Store Manager.
• Ensure store cleanliness on sales floor and in stockroom.
