Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Store Manager in Training in Des Moines, IA. You will learn to run a profitable store by maintaining merchandising standards, signage, and inviting displays while supervising staff and ensuring high customer service levels.

The role emphasizes on-the-job training, team leadership, and adherence to policies, with growth opportunities as you advance to store management.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus is preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation is required.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
