Job summary

Maurices Incorporated is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for Store 0171-Quincy Mall in Quincy, IL. The MIT will work with the store team to achieve sales goals, deliver fashion expertise to customers, and prepare for a Store Manager role within 3–6 months.

Key duties include leading by example, managing payroll hours, guiding talent development, and implementing visual standards. Relocation to the assigned store group is required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; a business/retail merchandising degree is preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment; fashion industry experience preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving and setting goals and executing company direction.
• Experience in hiring, promoting, and motivating talent.
• Ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, and demonstrate professionalism.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Must commit to a specific store location or group of stores.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driving sales and achieving store goals while maintaining customer focus.
• Participate in training modules to prepare for a Store Manager position within 3–6 months.
• Support store manager with hiring, scheduling, and payroll oversight.
• Maintain visual standards and execute promotions to maximize sales.
• Develop talent and coach associates to reach their full potential.
