What We're Looking For

GNC's Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals to manage their own store. Under the guidance of a Store Manager or District Manager, this hands-on program will teach you the skills and knowledge needed to operate your own store, drive results, and lead your team.

We seek a dynamic individual embodying GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, long, and fit. As a SMIT, you'll be part of a team passionate about helping everyone succeed. With your understanding of business needs and passion for health and wellness, you'll offer tailored and innovative solutions to each customer.

Responsibilities

• Engage actively with your leader in training initiatives, projects, and goals for your promotion path.
• Support the shopping experience, including visual, operational, sales initiatives, and customer relationships to foster sales and repeat business.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals, while helping team members realize their sales potential.
• Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, provide feedback, recruit, hire, and manage performance.
• Handle opening, closing, and operating the store, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Participate in community events to promote the organization’s mission.

Promotion to Store Manager is not guaranteed; performance at 90 days will be assessed for eligibility based on various factors.

Working Environment & Schedule

• Stand or walk up to eight hours daily.
• Perform reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 40 pounds).
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50-85°F, especially in stock areas.
• Use a computer up to 60% of the time.

SMITs work five days a week, with schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on store location and type.
