Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Ohio to support the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, merchandising, and daily store operations. This role focuses on developing external candidates for the Store Manager role and maintaining store standards.

You will assist with opening/closing, cash controls, and safety practices while ensuring compliance with company policies. Travel to other stores may be required, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training.
• Knowledge of federal labor laws and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to established practices and manager direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare/inventory processes.
• Follow ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and act as a role model for store procedures.
