Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents, safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiarity with store safety policies and cash control procedures.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing and hiring while ensuring policy compliance.
• Effective oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems in varied situations; bilingual Spanish preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing according to store directions.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns and store paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Lead by example in following company policies and SOPs.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure secure handling of company funds and cashier controls.
• Maintain clean, safe, well-stocked store environment.
• Collaborate with store manager during absences and review business trends.
