Job Overview

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a self-paced, 16-week training program. The program includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences led by your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. Key skills for this role include:

  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Customer service excellence
  • Merchandising and sales support
  • Inventory and asset management
Responsibilities and Expectations

SMITs are expected to:

  • Engage actively in training experiences
  • Support store operations as a management team member
  • Lead in alignment with CVS values and policies
  • Support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health
  • Be open to promotion and transfer opportunities within the market

Note: Selection does not guarantee promotion. Promotion depends on performance and role availability. Candidates must be willing to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market and work flexible schedules.
