Job Summary
The store manager in training learns to facilitate store tasks, including food prep, cashier duties, customer service, housekeeping, and other functions. They learn to direct staff to ensure customer satisfaction and manage the business profitably, providing an exceptional customer experience aligned with our purpose to 'Leave 'em Better.'
Essential Functions
- Be reliable, punctual, honest, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively verbally.
- Interview, hire, and train staff.
- Organize and oversee staff schedules.
- Manage paperwork and payroll.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination appropriately.
- Set performance and service standards.
- Oversee daily operations focusing on guest experience.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities

- Work effectively under tight deadlines in a team environment.

- Manage staffing needs, including for special events and peak times.
- Provide daily shift coverage as needed.
- Motivate and lead the sales team through communication and incentives.
- Ensure daily sales reports and cash deposits are accurate and timely.
- Address customer issues to foster positive relationships.
- Plan and coordinate sales, marketing, and budgeting efforts.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and sales to maximize profitability.
- Perform inventory checks and maintain store appearance.
- Collaborate on advertising and hiring strategies.
- Use company software for research, analysis, and tracking.
- Maintain a clean and inviting store environment.
- Rotate merchandise strategically.
- Train team members on policies and procedures.
- Inspect supplies and equipment regularly.
- Ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
- Order food, beverages, and supplies.
- Oversee food prep, presentation, and freshness.
- Lead by example, demonstrating consistency and professionalism.
- Address service quality concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Report unsafe activities.
Qualifications: Experience, Competencies, and Education
- At least two years of retail experience preferred.
- Complete on-the-job training successfully.
- Complete the company's management training program.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and working on cash register.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
