Minimum Qualifications

• Education & Experience: An associate degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing is preferred; 2 years’ experience in staff management and development or a combination of education and experience.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army Policy.

Skills/Abilities

• Ability to speak, write, and understand English sufficiently for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills including Point of Sales System, payroll program, Microsoft Office Suite, and other systems adopted by the TSA ARC.
• Ability to give change accurately.
• Good speaking, hearing, and vision abilities, and excellent manual dexterity.

Supervisory Responsibility

In conjunction with the Regional Manager, recruit, interview, and recommend for hire store staff. Train and supervise the store staff. Provide personnel reviews, review and approve time and attendance, and ensure compliance with regulations and trainings.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements include regularly standing, using hands, hearing, talking, walking, reaching, and occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and focus adjustment. The work environment is a store with potential dust, temperature fluctuations, and noise. May stand for extended periods.

Travel & Working Conditions

May require travel for work or training. Work is in a retail/store environment, full-time, with weekend and evening hours. Employees must support the religious mission of The Salvation Army.
